- Am I superficial for choosing a book based on its cover art and font?

– Why am I already so giddy about Christmas?

– Is anyone else wishing for Marc Cherry to write another “Desperate Housewives” episode? (This season seems flat somehow.)

– Why is the sky blue? (Ha, I actually know the answer to that! Google it for a better explanation than I could give.)

– Can a computer make a person less creative, or is it the fault of all the games played? ;) (I seem to have many more plot ideas these days…)

As Tigger would say, “Ta-ta for now!” :D

Nine and a half weeks till Christmas!

Wednesday, October 19th, 2005

I’m already getting excited about Christmas. Have started looking online for gifts for the family, and I’m preparing myself for the rush that will happen at work. (For now, we’re just dealing with a shortage of staff, not an overabundance of customers. Let’s hope we get new hires so there’ll be only one problem at once!)

In the meantime, I’m watching as much TV as ever and reading a lot of books. A nice quiet life for me!

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada!

Got my turkey, Stove Top, apple pie and ice cream. I’m ready to enjoy a restful holiday just counting my blessings. :D

Howdy! Long time, no talk!

Friday, October 7th, 2005

I was thinking yesterday of friends online that I haven’t chatted with for a while. I’m behind on reading others’ blogs, for one thing. So, here’s a shout-out to some of the people who’ve made the Internet a fun place for me:

– Jules, DonnaBelle and the old CVW gang – Don’t be afraid to brag when you get publishing deals, all right? I want to keep track of your work.

– Stacey, Jen, Terri and the Bookshelf bookworms – We’ve been busy lately with life away from our message board, but we always have a place to come and chat. :)

– Katie MacAlister’s fans – Love the jokes, writing talk, and the general conversations. Even the obsession with Gerry. ;)

– Faith*in*Fiction – It’s so cool to know that a bunch of talented writers are hanging out in one place, yakking up a storm and encouraging each other. Save a comfy chair for me to lounge and absorb all that imagination and wit.
