Grad 96 Reunion The reunion may have been small in numbers (larger than the one table in my photo, btw) but it was a good time. We caught up on everyone’s lives, shared info on those who couldn’t make it, and enjoyed a beautiful day. (Finally, the temperature was at a comfortable level.) Went for dinner afterwards with a couple of the old friends, and didn’t want the day to end!

New to my photo gallery: a couple reunion photos and two of our puppy Tas from yesterday. If anyone else has photos of the reunion, I’d be happy to post them on my gallery. Just email me!

It’s been too long since the last virtual party I attended, so I started one at the Christian Bookshelf. Join in and bring virtual refreshments or entertainment to the Bookshelf Beach Party.

Grad 96 Rules!

Wednesday, July 26th, 2006

This weekend, my ten-year highschool reunion takes place. I’m excited to see how the decade has changed us, and how much we’re still the same. I want to catch up on my friends’ lives – moving to the other side of the country four years after graduation didn’t help with the resolve to keep in touch!

I’ll try to get as many photos as I can for my gallery, and I intend to give at least a brief report of the gathering. :)

Egg, bacon and spam

In honour of the 50+ spam comments I had to delete from my blog, a great Monty Python skit. (I hate the food but love the skit! View it here.)

Don’t worry, I’m still here…

Life has gotten superbusy of late, but I hope it will calm down in a few weeks. Went camping this past weekend, and loved it. Sure, I would gladly have banished all the mosquitoes in the area – who wouldn’t? There were plenty of good things to overcome that aspect of the “roughing it” time. I caught a fish, enjoyed great scenery, saw a moose, a family of ducks, an osprey, lots of tadpoles, etc.

I’m currently reading “Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister” by Gregory Maguire, which is written in a different style than I usually dig, yet there’s something there that makes it worth a little adjustment on my part.

Favourite TV shows this summer: “Rockstar” and “Big Brother 7.” Also finding “America’s Got Talent” and “So You Think You Can Dance” to be quite entertaining.

If you’re not already hanging out over at Scenes & Beans, go read some great stories and get to know some of my friends at the Java Joint! :)
