Last time was all about Christian Bookshelf, which recently reached 40,000 messages posted! That was a fun day.
Today is a mish-mash…
Katie MacAlister’s forum – a place for fans of Katie MacAlister to talk about her books, relax in a virtual bar (named after one in her dragon books) and otherwise chat about everything under the sun. I like the 5 Random Thoughts and Favourite Videos threads.
Pacific Friends – for those living in states (or provinces) bordering the Pacific Ocean, iVillage has a board for you!
Canadian Friends – another iVillage board, and yes, there are Canadian iVillagers.
And, of course, there are plenty of quizzes and games on Facebook…
I don’t remember how many times I’ve mentioned my favourite iVillage message board, but here’s a plug.
As the name indicates, Christian Bookshelf is a place for readers of Christian fiction and non-fiction to discuss their current reads and share recommendations/reviews. But we don’t stop there! There’s everyday chatter and games aplenty.
Here are some of the best discussion threads right now:
Did you know…? (A popular thread containing all sorts of random thoughts.)
Word Conga (A word chain game that sometimes leads me to search online for uncommon words.)
Change One Letter (A challenging word game.)
March iWin Game (Last to post wins and we don’t just wait till the end of the month for a prize, we toss the iWin crown back and forth every day.)
We also have a monthly discussion. For March, it’s True Devotion by Dee Hendersion. We’re also voting for the April Book of the Month. Please join us with your vote!
Stay tuned for more links to my online haunts…
Here’s Tim at play after breakfast. The weird background noise is our sick furnace, and the duck in Tim’s hand for the majority of the video is one that quacks when hit or dropped.
